Honeywell developed its Android mobile computer CN80 based on direct user feedback: although touch screens are becoming more commonplace today, keypads remain the more productive alternative in many sectors. Because of this, the CN80 is equipped with both a touch screen and a keypad (numeric or functional). Yet when it comes to robustness, it orients itself towards user needs: it withstands falls from 2.4 m and is protected against dust and moisture, according to IP65/IP67 standards. It therefore proves itself in dusty warehouses as much as in the humid outdoors and is optionally available with a display and scanner heater for usage in cold storage. Its extraordinary resilience is complemented by the equally extraordinary performance of a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm octa-core processor, as well as up to 4 GB RAM. The CN80 is also available with a short or long range (up to 15m) integrated 2D imager.
One of the most important aspects of the CN80 is that stands for a long life cycle and the highest productivity, as a representative of Mobility Edge. Based on the universal hardware and software architecture which characterises all the devices of this platform, the training period for this mobile computer is just as simple as its (seldom) maintenance. Featuring Android, the CN80 also offers new users a trusted interface. Honeywell secures updates up to Android R.
