Advantech Co., Ltd. was founded in 1981. In 1985, the company launched standard products for PC-based automatic test systems. In the early 1990s, Advantech introduced its first industrial PC, the IPC-600 (1990), and expanded into Europe. (Branches in Germany, France and Italy - 1993). In 2003, Advantech expanded its manufacturing in China. In 2014, the company opened the Advantech Linkou IoT Campus.
